John Morris Scientific has introduced 2mag's Mixdrive, which is a range of ultra-flat magnetic stirrers for chemical and medical applications.
The Mixdrive can be submerged in water baths and is suitable for use in CO2 incubators and ovens.
Different temperatures are available: the basic version has a temperature range of one to 50C and the HT version has a temperature range of one to 95C when submerged in water baths or one to 200C when used in ovens.
The Mixdrive has 100 per cent synchronised speeds and jolt-free stirring, even at low speeds.
It features a fully encapsulated, hermetically sealed and aseptically cleanable stainless-steel housing.
It is water and dust resistant.
The Mixdrive comes in two configurations: Mixdrive 6 has six stirring positions and is suitable for 1000ml Erlenmeyer flasks.
Mixdrive 15 has fifteen stirring positions and is suitable for 250ml glass beakers.
Mixdrive Magnetic Stirrers are 100 per cent maintenance and wear free.
Two universal control units are available.
The Mixcontrol 20 has a 20W stirring power, a stirring speed of 100-1,600rpm and jolt-free stirring, even at low speeds.
There are two power settings, 50 per cent and 100 per cent (not suitable for operation in incubators).
The digital display has settings for stirrer speed and power.
The Mixcontrol 40 has 40W stirring power, a stirring speed of 100 - 2,000rpm and jolt-free stirring, even at low speeds.
There are 10 power settings, including high power for large and viscous stirring amounts and reduced power for warming-free continuous operation, for example in incubators.
The digital display has settings for stirrer speed and power.
The Mixcontrol features Quickset for the quick setting of start and maximum speed.
An automatic memory function stores the last working status when turned off.
