John Morris Scientific has brought out Fritsch's Pulverisette 1 Jaw Crusher, for preparing large pieces of brittle samples for analysis.
The Jaw Crusher crushes brittle samples with a maximum size of 95mm, down to 1mm.
It crushes the sample in an enclosed chamber under high pressure between two jaws, one fixed and the other a cam-driven crushing jaw.
The crushed material leaves the machine through the gap between the jaws, which can be adjusted.
Further particle size reduction can be achieved by combining the Jaw Crusher and a grinding mill in one system.
In a relatively short processing time this combination can reduce material to a fineness of 0.1mm.
The Jaw Crusher has an overload-protected 2.2kW motor.
The drive system can handle even the hardest materials.
To prevent contamination of the sample by the grinding tool, the Pulverisette 1 Jaw Crusher offers five different materials for crushing jaws and support walls.
