John Morris Scientific has added Gilson's evaporative light scattering (ELS) detector to its product range.
The Prepels II detector features the same detection performance as the original Gilson model in a smaller footprint.
The Prepels II is equipped with Thermo-Split technology that enables selective optimisation of split ratios for isocratic and gradient conditions.
A low-gain setting is used for milligram samples and a normal-gain setting for nanogram to microgram samples, offering a full range of signal detection.
A filtering technology allows the removal of baseline noise without affecting peak height or shape; while the Thermo-Split technology optimises the detector for any mobile phase or flow rate by controlling temperatures and providing a gentle vapour split.
The Prepels II detector is suitable for obtaining the purest fractions with the ability to detect analytes with or without a chromophore, including compounds that have poor UV absorption such as sugars, carbohydrates, lipids and triglycerides.
The Prepels II can be added as the primary or additional detector to any Gilson preparative or analytical solution or to any other HPLC system.
