Labcell has introduced the Tetratec CFO-Sx00 CFO (critical flow orifice) gas dosing unit.
The Tetratec is simple to configure and operate and accurately measures in line with EPA standards.
The Tetratec CFO-Sx00 is designed for engine developers using Constant Volume Sampler (CVS) test systems.
The Tetratec CFO-Sx00 injects propane or carbon monoxide in a tightly controlled manner to check the calibration of the CVS and associated instrumentation.
Operators can enter a mass-flow set point and the electronic pressure controller will hold and correct the dosing flow, automatically allowing precise calibration of the CVS system under test.
The CFO-Sx00 is simple to integrate and configure and benefits from a front-mounted digital display showing the dosing parameters, including mass flow rate, temperature, absolute and differential pressures.
Users can connect the CFO-Sx00 to a PC-based data acquisition system either directly via RS232, RS485 and Ethernet outputs.
The instrument can also be programmed to operate in an unattended mode.
The CFO-Sx00 is compact, lightweight and mounted in an aluminium case for practical storage and portability.
Stainless steel tubing is also available for quick and simple calibration process connection.
Two models are available: the S100 has one critical orifice and the S200 has two critical orifices for higher dosing ranges.
Gas dosing volumes of between 5 to 10,000 ml/min can be specified, which are measured and controlled to an accuracy of +/-0.5 per cent of full scale.
