Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that all Thermo Scientific PCR and RT-PCR kits are now available with deoxynucleoside triphosphates (dNTPs).
The company said that this provides everything required for the amplification of DNA and RNA targets in one kit.
Thermo Scientific PCR and RT-PCR reagents are available in kit or master-mix formats, containing all the components required for successful DNA or RNA amplification, including specially developed enzymes, optimised buffering components, ultrapure MgCl2 and high-performance dNTPs.
In the kit format, these components are supplied individually, offering flexibility for individual applications.
In the master-mix format, the components are pre-blended and supplied in a single vial.
The company said the inclusion of dNTPs in the Thermo Scientific PCR and RT-PCR kits saves time in the sourcing of components.
All that is required is the addition of reaction-specific template and primers.
