Elliot Scientific has signed an agreement with IRphotonics to exclusively distribute the Iguide range of fibre optic products within the UK and Ireland.
IRphotonics uses a fluoridation process that allows for the production of glass and optical fibre claimed to possess exceptional optical and mechanical properties.
Transmitting light from the UV to the mid-infrared range, the Iguide is suitable for multi-spectral applications in all areas industrial, medical or scientific.
From beam delivery and surgery to infrared counter measures and astronomy, an Iguide fibre or lens can play an important part.
IRphotonics offers a range of products that encompasses single and multi-mode fibres, high-power beam delivery versions and the II-V fibre.
Doped fibre is also available, off the shelf or composed with customer specified dopant mixes and concentrations to meet the requirements of the fibre laser and amplifier designer.
Optical blanks formed from the same Iguide material can also be supplied.
Mouldable into standard or aspheric pre-forms, Iguide UVIR glass can be ground and polished in the traditional way or diamond turned for quicker production at lower cost.
Elliot Scientific will also offer the Iguide range of patchcords and connected fibre assemblies for OEMs and other users requiring broadband performance.
