Harvard Apparatus has introduced the Startfear combined system for conducting fear conditioning and startle reflex experiments in the same enclosure.
For use with rats or mice (15-500g), this system uses a high-sensitivity weight transducer mechanism and user-defined thresholds to record and analyse animal activity/immobility (Freezing) or startle response (Startle).
The optional contextual kit can be used for fear conditioning, while other interfaces are available to customise fear conditioning paradigms.
