Lab901 has used the Bioprocess International (BPI) congress in Dusseldorf, to unveil its Screentape P200 product for rapid SDS-Page and analysis.
Generating results in 1min per sample, the P200 protein system extends the use of Lab901's existing benchtop Tapestation instrument, which has already started to make a global impact in the DNA market for PCR diagnostics.
Used with the Tapestation, Screentape P200 combines gel loading, electrophoresis, imaging and analysis.
Results include a gel image, electropherogram, molecular weight determination and percentage purity - all generated in 60s per sample.
There is no need to prime chips, stain/de-stain gels, image gels, or annotate gel images when using the Screentape System.
Screentape can run just a few samples, leaving unused lanes available for future experiments and reducing the waste commonly encountered with chip-based systems and pre-cast gels.
