QBC Europe is offering the QBC Paralens in three formats and is about to introduce the QBC Paralens Solar Kit.
The QBC Paralens system converts a standard microscope into a fluorescence microscope, as cheaply and as easily as changing an objective; this enables fast, accurate detection and quantification of malaria, tuberculosis, trypanosomes and other blood-borne parasites.
Two versions of the standard QBC Paralens System are now available, both of which come in a portable carrying case and include a light source, power pack, paraviewer, workstation, starter kit, manual, oil and screwdriver.
The 424277 Paralens System has a Paralume light source while the 424280 has an Optilume light source.
The full Paralens System can now also come packaged with the Vision MRJ-03L cordless microscope.
The 424290 is a Paralens System with Optilume light source and MRJ-03L cordless microscope.
The MRJ-03L features a 30-degree inclined binocular Seidentopf head that can be rotated by 360-degrees; a pair of 10X widefield eyepieces; four DIN achromatic parfocal and parcentered objectives: 4X (NA 0.10), 10X (NA 0.25), 40X (NA 0.65), 60XR (NA 0.90), 100XR Oil (NA 1.25); magnification of 40 to 1000X; 120 x 125mm mechanical stage coaxial drive/rack and pinion adjustment; Abbe condenser NA 1.25; iris diaphragm with filter holder, including blue filter; a field diaphragm that offers more light control; coaxial coarse and fine focusing and low knob-position; variable intensity halogen illuminator, 6V 20W; and replacement bulb, fuse and immersion oil.
It measures 16.5 x 21 x 38.1cm and weighs 4.8kg.
It is CE certified.
