Radleys has announced the launch of the Huber Petite Fleur, or baby Tango, an entry-level Unistat thermoregulator for applications in the mid-range -40C to 200C.
The baby Tango is 2/3 the size, 2/3 the power and 2/3 the cost of the Unistat Tango.
As with the larger Unistat models the Petite Fleur features all the benefits in performance and safety of a hydraulically sealed system.
The CC Pilot Professional Controller and display provides the unit with full functionality.
The variable speed pump combined with variable pressure control and mircoprocessor technology is said to ensure good results, and at 26cm wide the baby Tango can fit in any fume hood.
The castors at the back also allow the compact unit to be manoeuvred into the required position.
The Petite Fleur is suitable for applications where regular vessel changes can often lead to residue water in hoses and reactors mixing with the thermofluid, thereby inhibiting heat transfer.
To overcome this, the Petite Fleur features a water separation system that allows water to be removed from the thermofluid during heat/cooling cycles.
As with all thermoregulators, the DIN 12876 standard requires that cooling powers are measured at full pump speed; however, development at Huber has shown that reducing the pump speed reduces the heat energy entering the system, which in turn leads to higher cooling powers and lower end temperatures.
The Petite Fleur has a powerful pump, so reducing the pump speed can make additional cooling power available - in some cases an extra 30W to 50W can be achieved.
The introduction of the Petite Fleur means that the range of Unistats available from Radleys now has cooling capacity starting from 480W at 20C.
