The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN) and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) have revealed that registration is now open for the UK Nanoforum and Emerging Technologies Conference.
The event, which is scheduled to take place on 3-4 November 2009 at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, will be opened by keynote presenters Prof Anthony Ryan and Christos Tokamanis.
Topics to be addressed by more than 40 presenters include next-generation lithium-ion batteries, heterogeneous photocatalysis for water treatment and purification, the use of new technologies in Phase 1 clinical trials and carbon nanotube fibres.
UK Nanoforum and Emerging Technologies 2009 will provide a networking forum and will showcase the latest developments in nanotechnology and other emerging technologies.
The event will combine a three-parallel session conference with an industrial exhibition, a poster session with the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council's (EPSRC's) awards for young scientists, technology elevator pitches and facilitated networking for more than 100 international and 350 UK delegates, as well as the Business Innovation Awards for UK companies.
The key themes for the event will be: life sciences and healthcare; energy and the environment; and electronics and materials.
Four further emerging technologies will be showcased: phototonics; electronics; plastic electronics; and precision surfaces and complex structures.
With a focus on trade, investment and collaborations, UK Nanoforum and Emerging Technologies 2009 is suitable for companies, academia, technology purchasers and those seeking to develop joint ventures to develop business relationships.
