Hoefer has announced the introduction of the Vision life-science spectrophotometer, which can accommodate up to 90 custom protocols.
Vision spectrophotometers include 16 predefined methodologies for nucleic acid quantification (DNA, RNA and oligonucleotides), protein assays (BCA, Lowry, biuret) kinetics, standard curve, cell density measurements and CY dye for labelling of PCR probes.
The combination of the life-science methods with rapid scanning, kinetics and concentration capabilities of the Vision spectrophotometer make it suitable for any molecular biology or biochemistry laboratory.
The visualisation of the nucleic acid scan with the full graphic display is particularly useful, especially for RNA samples where impurities might be present in the 230nm region, but not have an adverse effect on the absorbance of 260/280 ratio.
The Vision life-science spectrophotometer has novel Gifford optics for high energy combined with a Xenon source for long life.
It includes an integral cuvette tray for storage of expensive cells and sample support.
Additionally, an optional integrated printer or wireless Bluetooth connectivity are available.
