Lab Armor has introduced its Bath Armor Beads, eco-friendly, low-maintenance metallic beads that replace water in water baths, aluminum blocks in dry baths and ice in ice buckets.
Bath Armor Beads are suitable for laboratory use because they eliminate the need for water and ice, reducing the chance of contamination, the need to regularly change water and the need for ice machines.
Bath Armor Beads thaw, warm and chill samples with high thermal efficiency, while avoiding common temperature fluctuations caused by evaporation.
The beads are self-supporting, so racks and clips are eliminated and sample containers can be positioned at an angle.
The problem of sample containers floating or becoming contaminated in a water bath is also eliminated.
The beads can be used from -80 to over 350C for a range of laboratory uses.
Beads can be purchased separately for use with existing temperature-controlled equipment.
