Promega has launched the GoTaq qPCR Master Mix, which provides high PCR sensitivity enabling the detection of smaller changes and rare events.
In addition, the GoTaq qPCR Master Mix delivers earlier cycle thresholds than SYBR Green I.
The sensitivity of GoTaq qPCR Master Mix is derived from a new fluorescent dye that gives a brighter signal when it binds to double-stranded DNA, compared with the SYBR Green I, and is more resistant to inhibitors.
GoTaq qPCR Master Mix offers enhanced stability at ambient and elevated temperatures, which makes it ideal for automated applications.
Also, GoTaq qPCR Master Mix remains stable after 24 hours at ambient temperature.
Even after incubating GoTaq at extreme temperatures (96C) for 90 minutes, Cq values remain unchanged.
The set up for GoTaq is similar to SYBR Green l, using the same cycling conditions and detection channel.
GoTaq qPCR Master Mix contains a low level of reference dye (CXR) that can be detected using the same filters and setting as those for ROX.
In addition, GoTaq qPCR Master Mix can be used with any real-time instrument capable of detecting SYBR Green I or FAM dye.
