Cleaver Scientific has detailed its range of compact and economical Cube digital dry baths, which are suitable for a variety of applications.
The dry baths are available as single- and dual-block models.
Applications include: restriction digestion, BUN, melting agar, coagulation studies, hybridisation, hot-start PCR reactions and DNA denaturation.
The company said the baths have interchangeable quick-change blocks, fast heat-up times and reproducible temperature and accuracy.
Also, as a result of their impermeable moulded aluminium allow block and chamber construction, each Cube dry bath may also be adapted as a mini water bath incubator if required.
They also feature a digital microprocessor controller for accurate temperature control in 0.1C increments from ambient +5C to 150C.
Rapid and easy programming is facilitated by the easy-to-use arrow keys on the sloped front panel, while both the temperature and running time are shown simultaneously on the conspicuous dual digital LCD display.
Two software options are available for data logging to a PC and computer control.
Cleaver's standard dry-bath incubators include many of the features of the Cube range, including microprocessor control, a wide temperature range ambient +5C to 150C, identical quick-change block compatibility, and optional PC control software for dry-bath operation and real-time data logging.
For clarity, only temperature or time is shown in the bright digital LED display at any one time.
An optional probe is available for temperature measurement of samples.
