Biomerieux has announced the launch of its ready-to-use culture medium, Campyfood Broth (CFB) for the detection and enumeration of Campylobacter spp.
This broth is designed to provide food-processing companies with simple, complete and high-quality solutions to help ensure the safety of their food products.
CFB consists of ready-to-use minibags, said to save preparation time in comparison to other methods and reduce waste and handling risks related to glass containers.
To fully address laboratory needs, CFB has been designed to be used in several simplified testing protocols: for the detection with Campyfood Agar or Vidas CAM, after a single enrichment step; and for enumeration with Campyfood Agar.
The official validation of these protocols, according to the ISO 16140 standard, is in progress.
