B and W Tek has redesigned its compact spectrometers and given them new names.
A selection of models covers the UV, VIS and NIR wavelength ranges, from low-cost solutions to high-end research-grade systems.
Models include: Econic - 200-1050nm, CCD array, low-cost, entry-level spectrometer; Quest - 200-1,050nm, CCD array, low cost; Compass X - 200-1,050nm, CCD array, TE-cooled; Cypher H - 185-1,050nm, photodiode array (PDA), high dynamic range; Prime X - 190-1,050nm, back-thinned CCD, TE-cooled, high sensitivity; I-trometer: 190-1,050nm, back-thinned CCD, low stray light; Sol - 900-2,600nm, InGaAs array, TE-cooled.
Features: optics, grating, detector and electronics housed in a compact package with no moving parts; user-configurable slits and gratings to suit wavelength-range and resolution requirements; TE-cooled models for improved sensitivity and dynamic range; fibre-optic input (SMA905); easy operation using the BWSpec software for system control and data acquisition; fully portable - optional external battery pack for in-field use.
A range of sampling accessories is available, including fibre-optic patch cords, integrating spheres, light sources, external battery pack and cuvette holder.
These compact spectrometers are suitable for applications such as transmittance, absorbance, reflectance, Raman spectroscopy, colour measurement, LED sorting and characterisation.
They are also suitable as optical building blocks for OEM system builders.
