Trevigen has launched a 96-well format Cultrecoat Vascular Permeability Assay Kit to meet higher throughput screening needs for quantitating the degree of vascular monolayer permeability.
The company is offering a lower-throughput 24-well size, which, like the 96-well version, comes pre-coated with high-quality Collagen I for ease of use.
Applications for the assays include solid tumours, diabetic retinopathy, Alzheimer's disease, periodontal disease, pulmonary dysfunction, and other inflammatory and neoplastic diseases.
The pre-coated inserts are designed to save time, and the coating process assures uniform layers of Collagen I - plate to plate and lot to lot - to minimise variability.
Each kit is complete with coated plate and detection reagents.
The receiver plate is compatible with 96-well fluorescent readers and its black surface eliminates cross talk between wells and minimises background.
The chamber is designed so that the assay may be performed without disassembly until the final analysis.
This format helps prevent contamination and may be adapted for high-throughput robotic screening.
