Vital Diagnostics has enhanced its Eon One semi-automated photometer with the Eon One dilutor, which is said to eliminate manual pipetting errors.
The dilutor is claimed to result in significant improvements in precision when compared with the use of a manual pipette.
The Eon One photometer is capable of running all routine clinical chemistry tests.
The dilutor (sold separately) is plugged directly into the photometer via a dedicated port; once enabled, it is ready to use.
The computer embedded into the Eon One instrument controls the dilutor, so aspiration volumes for both reagent and sample for each test parameter programmed into the Eon One are automatically loaded by the system.
By following screen prompts, the operator aspirates the required volume of the reagent and the sample and dispenses into the reaction tube for the required incubation.
The dilutor then prompts the operator to wash before moving on to the next sample.
