While pyrolyzers have historically been used for the analysis and characterisation of polymeric products, Frontier's fourth-generation pyrolyzer incorporates features to extend its utility into a variety of material characterisation applications and protocols such as the testing of children's toys for phthalates, identifying additives used in the production of rubber and isolating the organics in viscous liquids such as cosmetics and other natural products.
The design of the pyrolyzer allows virtually all samples to be analysed directly, thus eliminating cumbersome and expensive sample preparation steps.
