Italian company Univet will showcase goggles and other high-power laser protection products at Laser World of Photonics 2011 on 23-26 May in Munich.
The company, which will be found on Stand 523 in Hall B1, will present its Model 559 Goggle, a device designed to provide protection from high-power laser sources.
In addition, Univet will show the 546-5X7, a set studied for doctor-patient protection, and Sylex, an advanced material.
Sylex is claimed to extend protection levels and, thanks to its low weight compared with normal materials used for laser frames, it offers comfort and high performance.
The 559 Goggle reaches protection level D LB8 and is equipped with a 2mm-thick aluminium alloy shell to ensure maximum protection when subjected to direct laser radiation.
It can be equipped with interferential glass filters to stop laser radiation with the highest protection levels.
Thanks to a specific external coverage, the filters are capable of rejecting radiation before it reaches the operator's eye.
The modular structure enables the use of polycarbonate absorbing filters.
The 559 Goggle is also equipped with an elastic band that ensures adherence to the face and optimal device stability during professional performance, distributing the weight of the glasses and avoiding pressure points on nose and ears.
The soft hypoallergenic rubber of the internal part allows the use of this device during prolonged operations.
