Air Science has introduced the Pureair 20 ductless fume hood, which is designed to provide operator protection when using hazardous substances.
A face velocity at 100fpm ensures containment of fumes, and an alarm will alert the operator when the airflow falls to an unacceptable level.
All mechanisms are on the clean side of the filter, preventing contamination.
Switches and electrical components are isolated from the dirty airflow and away from any contamination.
The work area has a removable spillage tray, which is easily cleaned, and optional integral lighting is available.
The Pureair 20 measures 49in wide, 27.5in deep and 47.5in high, with other sizes available up to 96in wide.
The main filter can be one of 14 different types of carbon, including specialty media for vapours of organics, solvents, acids, mercury and formaldehyde.
High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters for particulate filtration are also available to meet the needs of specific applications.
The Pureair can be equipped with a secondary back-up filter for added protection.
