Beckman Coulter has launched an automated target-capture sequencing service designed to deliver sequencing data and streamlined sample preparation for targeted next-generation sequencing.
Utilising Agilent Sureselect Target Enrichment technology with the Beckman Coulter SPRIworks Fragment Library System for automated library construction and the Biomek Laboratory Automation Workstation for liquid handling, the service provides reproducible samples ready for sequencing.
Sequencing is performed on the Illumina GAII and Hiseq 2000 platforms.
According to Beckman Coulter, LIMS sample tracking enables large numbers of samples to be processed at the same time, reducing the risk of sample mix-up that exists in a manual process.
The solution is suited to projects with a focus on key genomic regions of interest and is said to enable the scalable, cost-efficient sequencing of relevant samples in both small and large quantities.
