SP Scientific has announced new dates for its educational seminars and hands-on laboratory training courses in freeze-drying techniques.
A new seminar, 'Freeze drying of pharmaceuticals and biologicals' has been developed in conjunction with Dr Henning Gieseler and the University of Erlangen Freeze Drying Focus Group.
This series of one-day seminars, which will take place on 14, 17 and 18 November, is designed to provide novices with a basic freeze-drying overview and experts with up-to-date information on topics of interest to the lyophilisation scientist operating in a pharmaceutical or biological environment.
Scheduled question and answer sessions will provide attendees with the opportunity to have their own specific questions and concerns addressed.
A new session on 6-8 December has also been added for the 'Lyophilisation cycle development and optimisation: a laboratory-based approach' hands-on training course, delivered by Dr Jeff Schwegman.
This course will focus on following the freeze-drying process from formulation and thermal analysis to cycle development and optimisation, packaging and troubleshooting.
According to SP Scientific, attendees at the training course will have the chance to optimise their learning experience by using tangible applications in a controlled setting.
