London-based MSE has announced six new products as part of its ProAir range.
The six products are named Stratus, Cumulus, Incus, Cirrus, Cirrus Plus and Arcus.
Available in three different sizes, the Stratus is a horizontal laminar flow safety cabinet used for protection of samples against outside contamination and internal cross contamination.
Cumulus is a bespoke Class II safety cabinet designed to accommodate robotic equipment used in liquid handling or weighing applications. It can fit around any existing robotic equipment (up to 400kg).
Air turbulences inside the chamber, which are generated when the robotics are in motion, are minimised by a down flow and exhaust ventilation system. This also creates an air barrier to protect the user and samples.
Developed in conjunction with leading laboratory researchers and approved by the National Physical Laboratory, the Incus has several unique features, differentiating it from other Class II Safety Cabinets.
The Incus can be used for a variety of applications including sample analysis in hospitals and drug research and production in pharmaceutical laboratories.
The Cirrus is a highly versatile isolator dedicated to animal research and other applications where high level containment is paramount.
The Cirrus Plus is a Class III isolator dedicated to the development and production of drugs and sterile foods for patients, as well as the analysis of highly pathogenic samples in an extremely sterile environment.
Available in three different sizes, the Cirrus Plus can be configured in positive pressure for the protection of samples or in negative pressure for protection of the user and environment.
The chamber is kept sterile by means of acid or H²O² sterilisation and the ventilation of filtered air. The H14 input filter is efficient to 99.999% of 0.3µm particles per cubic foot.
The Arcus is a vented animal storage cabinet designed to ensure a safe and controlled environment for the storage and breeding of rodents in defined sanitary conditions.
Available in three different sizes, the Arcus is has a variety of different optional extras which can be included to suit the users' needs.
