The HPVA series of gas adsorption uses the static volumetric method to obtain high-pressure adsorption and desorption isotherms.
The HPVA product, available from Particulate Systems, operates in pressure ranges from high vacuum to 200 bar.
The span of the sample temperature during analysis can be from cryogenic to 500 oC.
Sample analysis data collection is fully automated to assure high reproducibility.
In addition to the single-station model, the HPVA is available in a four-station version allowing up to four sample runs to be completed simultaneously.

The instrument can be used to study and determine the methane capacity of shale at specific pressures and temperatures, coal-bed methane capacity, carbon dioxide sequestration, and the hydrogen storage capacity of materials such as carbon and metal organic frameworks.
