In-Cap capsule filling systems, the smallest fully automatic machines in the world, have now been pre-fitted for use with an isolation unit.
Isopak is set to debut its In-Cap automatic capsule filling machine at Lab Innovations 2012.
Dott. Bonapace In-Cap automatic capsule filling machines claim to be the smallest fully automatic machines in the world.
The model to be exhibited has been pre-fitted for use with an isolation unit.
The move by Isopak has been initiated to assist with the development of new, life enhancing drugs which may be harmful in inappropriate quantities to the operators who handle them.
The In-Cap capsule filler, which will be on display, is a bench top unit that can fill individual hard gelatin capsules with powder, hot or cold liquids and gels, pellets, mini tablets, and single tablets for blind trials.
Its size and flexibility makes the In-Cap ideal for use in laboratory research work, development laboratories, hospitals and universities who are undertaking clinical trials and need small batch production.
An optional low volume powder hopper allows the In-Cap machine to operate with as little as 50gm of product, a great asset when very expensive and difficult to obtain new products need to be filled.
A three litre hopper extension can also be used, giving the capability of producing large batches, with an output of up to 3,000 capsules per hour.
In-Cap technical data:
- Capsule formats: 00-0-0 + -1-2-3-4 and “DB”
- Production: 3000 capsules per hour, switched to 1,500 capsules per hour

- Powder Dosing: 8 mg

Isopak will also be highlighting during the show other products in the Dott. Bonapace pharmaceutical range.
These include semi-automatic capsule filling machines, tablet presses, suppository machinery, deblistering systems, mixing, dosing and counting solutions, capsule banding equipment, suppository/ovule thermoforming and blistering technology.
The company will be located on Stand F18 at Lab Innovations on the 7-8th of November.
