The training course is designed to provide assistance to those involved in the development and manufacture of biological products.
The course was created by industry experts Dr Jeff Schwegman and Dr John Carpenter and is entitled ‘Rapid & Rational Development of Stable Lyophilized Protein Formulations’.
Lyophilisation, or freeze-drying, is a process used to enhance the stability of many products but must be done properly as it can be extremely damaging to the physical structure of a molecule, rendering them inactive and could elicit an immune response in patients.
The 4-day training course is designed to address these risks and offers considerable knowledge to those involved with lyophilisation.
