The SSM3 and SSL3 are models of laboratory rockers from the ranges made by Stuart Equipment.
The SSM models have a small footprint and are, essentially, personal units, while the SSL models are ’laboratory scale’.
Both the SSM3 and SSL3 are ideal for:
- Low foaming agitation
- DNA extractions
- Staining and de-staining procedures
This is because both the SSM3 and SSL3 models produce a 3D gyratory motion suited for these procedures.
Moreover, they have optional tier systems available, which means the capacity of each rocker can be readily increased; tiers can be fitted in seconds effectively tripling the agitation space.
The non-slip mats hold vessels with flat bases securely in place on the tiers during agitation and the tilt can be moved by hand to optimise vessel content mixing.
Both models have digital setting of speed and an adjustable digital timer with LED display. This ensures accurate and reproducible ’rocking’ conditions every time.
With speed ranges from 30 to 300rpm and max loads from 3kg to 10kg respectively for the SSM and SSL ranges, these are the ideal rockers for personal or laboratory scale use.
