Web-based solution for searching and accessing structures, chromatograms, spectra, and other analytical data across the enterprise through a customisable interface
With the release of version 8.0, ACD/Labs has taken significant strides to improve the integration capabilities of its analytical data management software, and says it has succeeded in delivering easy to use, web-based solutions that interweave ACD/Labs entire range of analytical tools with common and customised third-party applications.
ACD/Labs introduces the latest release of Web Librarian, a web-based solution for searching and accessing structures, chromatograms, spectra, and other analytical data across the enterprise through a customisable interface.
Web Librarian provides access to analytical data from ACD/Labs databases, MDL Isis databases, and a variety of single formats in a centralised repository that is accessible to authorised members of an organisation via their web browser.
Improved MDL Isis integration in the 8.0 release of Web Librarian provides reactions support, reaction and subreaction searching, and the ability to extract or create database forms from Isis databases. The interface has also been improved to enable more convenient browsing of Isis databases in ACD/Labs's flexible Tile or Table view.
Integration between Web Librarian and ACD/Labs desktop products has been enhanced in the 8.0 release, enabling users to utilise ChemSketch and SpecManager modules within Web Librarian to perform structural and spectral searches.
Web Librarian has also been tightly integrated with the new Workflow Manager to facilitate the creation of a complete inter-departmental analytical sample management system, and advanced security and authentication protocols ensure that proper access is granted to various teams within the organisation.
New to the 8.0 release is Web Librarian Web Services, an application that makes it possible to integrate Web Librarian technology into a custom third-party user interface, such as a corporate intranet page, providing alternative access to ACD/Labs ChemAnalytics software tools to effectively generate knowledge, increase laboratory throughput, and disseminate information across the enterprise.
