With two independent channels, monitor provides simultaneous dual-sample testing in air or oxygen-saturated solutions
The YSI 5300A Biological Oxygen Monitor from Analytical Technologies measures oxygen consumption and evolution in a variety of samples in as little as two minutes.
With two independent channels, each with display and output, the monitor provides simultaneous dual-sample testing in air or oxygen-saturated solutions.
This versatile, compact system is ideal for busy laboratories that need to measure wide ranging sample volumes from µl to ml.
The YSI 5300A uses the respected Clark-type polarographic electrode immersed in magnetically-stirred sample chambers, which ensures a fast and stable reading with reliable reproducibility.
Oxygen uptake or evolution curves can be produced in around 2 to 15 minutes.
There is also a zero-oxygen calibration offset for improved sample accuracy.
The compact unit and self explanatory dials allow the monitor to be used for a vast number of applications, ranging from biochemical assays and pharmacological studies to plant cell fractions and intact organisms.
The standard system measures samples from 3 to 8ml and the micro system measures a fixed volume of 600µl.
However, a micro adapter kit is also available, allowing the standard system volume to be reduced to 1ml.
All systems come complete with bath, probes and related supplies and also dual RS-232 ports and analogue outputs for data logging.
In addition, recirculating water baths and chart recorders are also available from Analytical Technologies.
