Bangs Laboratories introduces Compel highly uniform superparamagnetic microspheres.
In diameters of approximately 3, 6, and 8µm, with CV's 5%, Compel microspheres are ideal for applications that demand uniform bead response, such as miniaturised bioassays and separations.
These monodisperse spheres are composed of magnetite in a polymer matrix.
Beads are overcoated with functional polymer for encapsulation of magnetite and introduction of reactive groups.
The high level of functionalisation permits efficient coupling of biomolecules. Compel microspheres are rapidly separated using magnetic separators, such as LifeSep, which are also now available through Bangs Laboratories.
Compel superparamagnetic particles complement Bangs's established line of microsphere products. COOH-functionalised beads are immediately available, with other surfaces soon to be introduced. .
