Offers a high degree of flexibility in controlling test parameters, monitoring results and manipulating and exporting test data
Audio Precision has introduced a new control software package for its 2700 series family of audio test instruments.
When the new AP2700 software is used with Audio Precision units, it offers a high degree of flexibility in controlling test parameters, monitoring results and manipulating and exporting test data.
The 2700 series is based on the company's System Two Cascade Plus instruments, and AP2700 is based on Apwin software.
The 2700 series digital instruments and upgraded System Two Cascade Plus instruments have hardware capability for operating at sample rates of up to 192kS/s.
AP2700 provides control software features to access the higher sample rates of these instruments, and is compatible with 2700 series and System Two Cascade and Cascade Plus units.
A new external sweep panel has been added to give complete external sweep functionality with more controls and basic commands being added to features already existing in Apwin. Size and formatting features in exporting graphs have been enhanced.
The list of exportable graphic formats has been enlarged to include BMP, Jpeg, Gif, Tiff and PNG files.
The software allows the user to assemble a virtual test bench by determining which panels are visible and in what orientation.
It provides several different 'pages' where test instrument panels, bargraphs and X/Y graphs displaying various parameters may be viewed simultaneously.
Other features include easy transition between time (oscilloscope) and frequency (spectrum analyser) mode.
All the respective set-ups for each domain are preserved as the domain is switched.
The software is freely downloadable from the AP website.
