Contract research organisation has secured preferred supplier status for contract personnel with several more of the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
Contract research organisation Chiltern International has secured preferred supplier status for contract personnel with several more of the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
They join a growing portfolio of large companies utilising Chiltern's contract personnel expertise.
Chiltern International already works with the top ten global companies for staffing.
The pharmaceutical industry faces a continuing challenge to employ the right kind of people, as success depends not only on highly specialised skills but also on experience.
To help assist clients in this area, Chiltern has focussed on providing pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies in Europe and the USA with contract personnel on demand.
"Over time, we have tried to build relationships with a broad range of clients and this has transformed Chiltern International from being a supplier of single candidates to becoming the international single preferred supplier for contract personnel," explained Linda White, head of CPD at Chiltern in Europe.
"Our success comes from being seen as an extension to the company team we work with.
"Because we are a CRO and not simply a staffing agency, we understand what is involved in managing and monitoring clinical research trials. "Furthermore, our personnel have often been through specialised internal training programmes before going out on contract and we offer them opportunities for personal development and promotion." Cathy Gooch, CPD Manager at Chiltern in the USA agrees.
"Clients have recognised that we can provide staff who are skilled in a variety of job functions, and who will therefore benefit their organisations.
"Using the department's service allows companies to reduce labour costs, to meet project deadlines and respond to staffing need fluctuations.
These have been the major reasons behind the company securing several key supplier agreements."
