Claude Albrecht will be responsible for ensuring high levels of service to clients, focussing on the development of the French operation
Chiltern International, a clinical research organisation, has appointed Jean-Claude Albrecht as general manager of Chiltern France.
Dr Albrecht will be responsible for ensuring high levels of service to clients, focussing on the development of the French operation alongside Chiltern International's other global facilities.
After gaining an MD degree in Paris in 1985, Albrecht joined the pharmaceutical industry in licensing and business development while completing his education in the US with an MBA. He subsequently started working in clinical research in a variety of roles including central laboratory services and contract research.
He followed this with a period as a business development manager before joining an international CRO in France as managing director.
"I have a combination of experience as a GP and commercial and business development knowledge from both my career and my business degree and I hope this will be a compelling combination which will help business development for Chiltern both in France and in Europe in general.
"I have been impressed with the growth and customer oriented company policy of Chiltern International.
"These are characteristics, which will, in my opinion, foster confidence and growth going forward.
"Additionally, the business model used by Chiltern International to carry out the studies works to the advantage of our clients while ensuring an adequate return to the company".
"Dr Albrecht is a significant addition to the management team in Europe," added Chiltern's CEO Simon Garnham.
"With this Chiltern has acquired a seasoned professional who will help deliver the top quality services needed to satisfy our growing international client base."
