Electric Motor Applications, the newly appointed UK representative of SL-MTI, is introducing a range of brushless DC motors to the UK.
The BLCM series of brushless DC motors is designed for OEM high performance medical applications.
Design features include high torque to inertia ratios, high efficiencies and high power densities.
Typical of the series is the BLCM-11. This motor measures only 70mm long (plus shaft) and 26mm diameter yet has a peak torque of 1.45Nm.
Continuous performance with a 1000C temperature rise (ambient 250C) is: power 95.86 watts, torque 68.37mNm, speed 13,492 rpm.
All BLCM motors can withstand up to 1000 cycles of autoclave cleaning and can operate in vacuum environments.
As with all SL-MTI products, the performance of the BLCM-11 motor can be seen dynamically on its website; the performance of the motor at different supply voltages, temperatures and speeds may also be seen graphically on line.
The motors can be supplied as full motors or as part sets, with or without Hall sensors.
Customers may use their own drive circuitry or choose conventional or sensorless drives from SL-MTI.
