New life sciences, physical sciences, and engineering file with information on ongoing federally funded US research projects joins online service for scientific and technical information
STN International, the online service for scientific and technical information, has added Fedrip to its wide range of databases.
The new database offers access to information on ongoing federally funded US research projects in the fields of life sciences, physical sciences and engineering.
Fedrip is a directory covering reports and US.
government documents on federally funded research in progress.
Records in the database are gathered from various US federal agencies, therefore containing information of interest to many different markets. Some of the key markets include agriculture, energy, engineering, geology, health, pharmaceuticals, and regulatory.
Records in Fedrip contain the title, report number, contract number, principal investigator, other staff, performing and sponsoring organisations, URLs for performing organisations, funding information, project duration information, a summary of the research, research progress, and index terms.
Fedrip contains currently 208,291 records and is updated monthly.
The database is reloaded each month, and completed projects are removed.
Producer of the database is the US National Technical Information Service (NTIS).
