Can monitor up to 16 channels of vibration, impact, and rod drop measurements, and expand to an additional 16 channels of monitoring for other salient parameters
Hardy Instruments announces a new addition to its vibration monitoring line.
The HI 3600 machine monitor is an advanced condition monitoring system that enables customers to bridge the gap between vibration monitoring needs and plant control capabilities.
The 3600 machine monitor is the latest innovation in Hardys 3000 series product line and offers advanced condition monitoring capabilities on all types of reciprocating and rotating equipment.
The HI 3600 can monitor up to 16 channels of vibration, impact, and rod drop measurements, and expand to an additional 16 channels of monitoring for other salient parameters, such as temperature, motor load, and pressure. "The most distinguishing feature of the HI 3600 is its ability to enable the user to connect to the health of the equipment from any location whether local or remote," said Jim Ephraim, director of marketing.
Users can connect to the 3600 machine monitor through the embedded webserver, a Palm PDA (via the infrared port), other machine monitors by way of the Hardy Control-Link network, via email notification, or through plant networks, including ControlNet, Profibus, or DeviceNet.
The introduction of the HI 3600 machine monitor also bring supplementary communications options such as Modbus TCP (Modbus over ethernet) and OPC.
Using either of these options, users can transfer data and commands to and from a computer.
