Ideal for research and small-scale manufacturers as well as hospitals and pharmacies, and even those involved in herbal and alternative medicines
Isopak is launching a new version of its top-selling, automatic bench-top capsule filling machine, the In-Cap, the only one of its size available anywhere in the world.
The In-Cap, which comes from the pharmaceutical machinery division of Dott Bonapace in Milan - with whom Isopak has an exclusive UK distribution deal - is highly versatile yet simple to operate.
It is compact, easy to clean and has another big plus point in the ease with which a changeover can be made from one capsule to another.
Its size and flexibility makes the In-Cap ideal for use in research and development laboratories, for clinical trials, small batch production and special productions.
Its new, low volume powder hopper allows the machine to operate with as little as 50 grammes of what can be very expensive and difficult to obtain product - so cutting wastage to the absolute minimum.
But it can also be fitted with a three-litre hopper extension giving it the capability of producing large batches too, with an output of 3000 units each hour.
The In-Cap is equally at home handling powders, pellets and tablets as well as liquids whether hot, cold or viscous.
And it can be linked to the new Bonapace BD-3000 capsule sealer - another machine included in Isopak's distribution deal - to give totally sealed capsules.
It can also handle a whole range of sizes, from 00 through to four, and take in many special executions like DB capsules.
It encompasses the whole range of fillings including powder, pellets, micro-granules, a pellet-powder combination, liquids or jelly (including those combined with powder) and can be mounted on a trolley for ease of use.
It can be fitted with a dust extraction vacuum system and with its own compressor should no local compressed air supply be available.
Managing director Robin Davies says: ''Dott Bonapace has always offered Italian engineering at its best, but the revisions the company has made to the In-Cap really do put it up there at the top of the league.
It is the first bench-top machine of its type to be launched in the UK, in addition to being the only automatic unit of its size available anywhere in the world.
''It is already arousing a great deal of interest in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors because of its compactness, versatility and cost-effectiveness.
It is ideal for research use and for small-scale manufacturers as well as for individual hospitals and pharmacies and even those involved in herbal and alternative medicines.
It is a machine for tomorrow, whatever use it is put to.''
