One of the smallest bench top units on the world has an output of up to 2500 tablets per hour, and this combined with low cost tooling make it an economical choice
Isopak, a supplier of equipment to the medical and healthcare industries, is introducing a new single punch automatic tablet press machine into the UK.
The compact CPR-6 is one of the smallest bench top units on the world market and its capacity makes it ideal for situations where small batch runs are required.
The CPR-6 is particularly aimed at laboratories, pharmacies and hospitals needing an automatic tablet press. Although of a compact design, the CPR-6 has an output of up to 2500 tablets per hour, and this combined with low cost tooling make it an economical choice.
It is constructed from stainless steel and is easy to clean and operate.
The unit is built in two totally separate parts - a compressing area protected by security panels, and a mechanical area.
The machine is also equipped with independent weight and hardness adjustment capabilities, adding to its flexibility of use.
Even though it is one of the smallest bench top tablet press units in the world, the CPR-6 does not lose out when it comes to power.
Thanks to excellent design, sturdiness and full mechanical driving, it can exercise a compression force of 2.5 tonnes.
Tablets with a maximum diameter of 16mm, filled to a depth of 17mm can be produced, at variable speed settings.
This is the latest development from the Dott Bonapace range available through Isopak in the UK.
With over 50 years experience the Italian experts offer a range of machines including bench top and free standing semi-automatic capsule processing and blistering machines.
For those who need a tablet press machine for larger capacities the CPR25 rotary tablet press machine, with an output of up to 18000 tablets per hour, is also available from Isopak.
The CPR further extends Isopak's extensive product offer which, along with the Dott Bonapace range, also includes machines from Rotamac and Valmatic, suitable for a wide range of packaging - from cosmetics and pharamcueticals to food.
Isopak's managing director Robin Davies says: "The CPR-6 machine is an ideal choice for those who want a quality, automatic and economical tablet press. "It is ideal for use in research establishments and clinical trial laboratories, and anywhere where space is at a premium. "It is a well designed machine, which is easy to use, and has the added benefit of low cost tooling".
