Versatile video microscope in a self-contained unit with a motorised zoom lens normally only found on high-end systems
OGP UK has launched the Hi-Eye versatile video microscope, designed for inspection and assembly operations in industry. Ideally suited for toolmakers, plastics and rubber industry, and electronics for the visual and dimensional inspection of small parts, Hi-Eye is a conveniently self-contained unit with a motorised zoom lens normally only found on high-end systems.
Its autofocus takes the guesswork out of focussing, providing consistent results and enabling operation in almost any lighting condition.
CCD camera, and integrated colour LCD monitor allow for live viewing by large groups, with wired remote control making for easily changeable magnifications.
In addition, magnification display is read via a LED display above the LCD monitor, showing approximate current magnification.
Along with Hi-Eye, OGP UK is also introducing Hi-Eye Sprint, a high value interactive measurement system.
Benefiting from all the main features of Hi-Eye, this instrument performs highly accurate measurements of complex parts, enabling users to ensure that processes are under control and parts within specifications.
The unit is expected to replace large numbers of 2D profile projectors with its simple, flexible approach.
Managing director of OGP UK, Andrew Fulton, comments: "OGP is now the natural choice for highly accurate cost-effective products as well as high-end video solutions.
"OGP has made its name by innovating and building to the highest quality, we are now putting those values into lower cost solutions making video-based non-contact systems available to everyone".
OGP UK says it has a reputation for build quality, robustness, and competitiveness of pricing.
Its Smartscope systems have been used in quality testing for projects as diverse as particle detection at Cern and checking out bad toolmaking practices in plastic mould applications.
