Solvent evaporator takes just minutes to dry down a plate, replacing traditional techniques that typically take hours to remove solvents from a 96-well microplate
Available from Porvair Sciences, the DS-96 solvent evaporator has enabled many hundreds of pharmaceutical, life science, chemistry and clinical laboratories worldwide to simply and effectively remove solvents from 96-well microplates.
DS-96 takes just minutes to dry down a plate, replacing traditional techniques that typically take hours to remove solvents from a 96-well microplate.
The compact and highly affordable DS-96 is simple to install, operate and maintain.
Installation just requires connection to a gas supply and standard mains socket.
Safety of operation is ensured as the CE marked compact unit fits into all fume cupboards.
Injecting heated nitrogen directly simultaneously into the 96 wells of the microplate the DS-96 accommodates both deep and shallow 96-well microplates.
The height of the dryer is fully adjustable allowing the head of the dryer to be lowered as solvents evaporate - producing quick dry down times.
Supplied with straight needles as standard, there is also an option of a novel curved needle which produces a vortex as the gas is released.
This option is particularly useful if the fastest concentration time is critical or if the unit has to be used unheated as is the case with some volatile or thermally unstable compounds.
