Implementation workshop in Milton Keynes on 11 June is intended for field device manufacturers who would like to implement Profibus at the hardware level
There continues to be strong demand for ASIC and interface module technology from UK based field device manufacturers wishing to integrate Profibus into their products, reports Profibus UK.
To help satisfy the demand for information on how to do this, the Profibus group has organised the first Implementation Workshop for 2002, on 11 June.
These workshops are intended for field device manufacturers who would like to implement Profibus at the hardware level.
They overview product options, Profibus protocol details and integration procedure answering most - if not all - the questions of a hardware engineer looking to carry out the integration.
Speakers are Manfred Popp, head of the Profibus Integration Centre in Furth, and Chris Cordingley, Profibus UK's technical officer and technical director of Tellima Technology.
The agenda covers: Profibus Overview and bus architecture DP/FMS/PA.
A detailed look at Profibus functions and services.
Profibus ASICs and interface modules for master and slave solutions - including the new DPC 31.
Implementation - practical issues.
Development packages and tools.
Certification products and services available in the UK The agenda can be flexible on the day and the presenters are happy to dwell on areas of specific interest - questions are encouraged throughout the day.
Hosted by Siemens at its Milton Keynes office on Tuesday 11 June, the delegate price is £95 + VAT (Profibus UK members) or £125 + VAT (non members).
