"We believe these new appointments confirm our commitment to our customers and will help us achieve our vision of becoming the market leader in clean air servicing"
Safelab says its customers benefit from its ability to manufacture clean air cabinets and provide service contracts on all makes of equipment, because real cost savings are made when working with a single source supplier.
As customers consolidate their business processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs by streamlining their supply chain, a selective number of companies are emerging as the supplier of choice when it comes to clean air cabinets and servicing them.
Safelab reckons to be one of these few selected companies working with laboratories, the NHS, universities, schools and colleges throughout the UK.
This selection process has seen the demand for Safelab's service and maintenance team increase significantly.
Managing director Roger Guess said: "To meet the needs of our existing customers and to allow us to work with new customers we have increased the number of service engineers we have available.
"The newest member of the team is Mark Rayner who is an electrical mechanical engineer.
"Mark lives in Essex and is ideally placed to cover the south east.
"Effective coverage of the region is critical as we have just been awarded the contract to supply the New Romford Hospital with fume cupboards, microbiological safety cabinets and laminar flow cabinets.
"Our technical services department includes a dedicated installation and commissioning team; their role in the Romford project is crucial and I am happy to confirm that Andy Williams is joining the team on 23 May 2005.
"We believe these new appointments confirm our commitment to our customers and will help us achieve our vision of becoming the market leader in clean air servicing".
Another significant factor has also played an important part in the growth of Safelab's service team.
Service manager Ion Barber commented: "We have seen a major increase in the number of customers approaching Safelab because they are disillusioned with their existing service provider.
"Through referral they know that we are a viable alternative and offer a reliable, comprehensive and cost effective service.
"It has been essential to strengthen the team because we want to maintain the high level of service we offer to all our valued customers".
Safelab services and maintains its own clean air cabinets together with other manufacturers' fume cupboards, laminar flow and safety cabinets.
