IBMS Congress will see a newly-launched digital camera for brightfield, darkfield, and fluorescence microscopy and the Coolscope which, apparently, transcends the existing concept of a microscope

Among the new products on display will be recently launched colour Digital Sight 2M (DS-2M) digital camera.
Built on the success of the DS-5M networkable camera, and produced in direct response to constantly evolving digital imaging demands, Nikon says the DS-2M is the perfect digital alternative to analogue and at 30fps complements a wide range of illumination techniques including brightfield, darkfield, and fluorescence.
As well as the DS-2M camera the Nikon Coolscope will also be exhibited.
In a simple all-in-one design, the Coolscope includes all functions necessary for observation, image capture and network communications; transcending the existing concept of a microscope, according to the company.
As it has no eyepieces, images are displayed on a screen and once an area of interest on a slide has been selected, it can be simply captured with the click of a mouse.
A selection of biological microscopes will also be on the stand including the latest Eclipse i-series Consultant and routine clinical microscopes, together with the TS100 tissue culture microscope for the life science laboratory.
