Glen Spectra announces the introduction of a new range of Sedat filter sets.
These filter sets are recommended for multi-colour applications and give minimal image shift and improved signal to noise when compared to multiband and Pinkel sets, it says.
These sets were first conceived by John Sedat at UCSF.
The Sedat filter range comprises three separate sets for dual, triple and quad labelled applications.
Each set uses single band exciters and emitter filters which are normally installed in automated filter wheels with a stationary multi-band dichroic in the microscope.
This arrangement allows the rapid selection of each of the required colour bands.
