Applications kit includes everything needed to measure conductivity according to all stages of USP 645, including multimeter and two-cell conductivity probe along with all accessories
In the last decade the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) has defined new requirements for water for injection and for purified water.
As a result, pharmaceutical manufacturers that use purified water and water for injection require stable and accurate conductivity measurements to maintain quality standards.
In this method, the conductivity is read at the temperature of the sample.
The measured value is then compared to values given by the USP.
There is no temperature correction.
If the conductivity of the water is below 1.1uS/cm at 20C, the quality is acceptable and the water is suitable for use in pharmaceutical products.
If the conductivity is greater than 1.1uS/cm at 20C, additional tests have to be performed that can include pH.
The Orion USP 645 applications kit includes everything needed to measure conductivity according to all stages of USP 645.
The kit comprises the new Orion 5-Star multimeter and two-cell conductivity probe along with all accessories.
The 5-Star multi-parameter meter has a convenient built-in quick-start guide, advanced self test and diagnostics, GLP electrode verification, storage of up to ten password-protected setup parameters and calibrations, and optional 21 CFR Part 11 software.
This software includes systems validation, security and audit trails, documentation control or archiving, and record retention and recovery.
