Pilotvap rotary evaporator systems are designed to minimise the time required and optimise the safety considerations for the recovery of solvent and the drying of solids.
Pilotvap rotary evaporators use an innovative high performance sealing system that provides an ultimate vacuum of less than 0.1Torr (option Staconseal: ultimate vacuum less than 0.01Torr) with a life expectancy of about 20,000 running hours.
The patented pendulum system is designed to ensure that the rotating flask always floats in the water (or oil) bath; this reduces mechanical stresses.
In addition, a patented hydraulic system for the flask and motor unit is employed to absorb the mechanical pulses that are common when powders are dried.
A number of innovative safety features are incorporated in Pilotvap systems, including a vapour temperature alarm to switch off the water bath, an overpressure sensor, an automatic vacuum control mode and a polycarbonate implosion shield around the rotating flask.
Pilotvap systems are available in a range of capacities from 0.1l to 50l and are controlled via the Tom-Guard control unit, which controls all parameters.
The data can be stored on a PC, by means of a standard RS232 port.
The slow acceleration mode of the speed controller minimises the foaming of products.
Customer prepared programs can directly be loaded from a PC (option).
