A new highly stable and robust chiral stationary phase with broad selectivity has been announced by Advanced Separation Technologies (Astec)
Designated Cyclobond I 2000 DNP, this new derivative of the Cyclobond technology has dinitrophenyl functionality bonded through an ether linkage to the secondary hydroxyl positions of the bonded beta-cyclodextrin.
In this arrangement, an electron sharing system is established with analytes having systems in the stereogenic environment.
Analytes with aromatic rings or carbonyl groups will satisfy this requirement.
Although the highest selectivity has been observed in the reversed phase mode, the polar organic and normal phase modes have shown separations not previously possible for cyclodextrin based phases.
Cyclobond I 2000 DNP columns are available in microbore to preparative sizes as well as in bulk media from Astec or authorised Astec distributors throughout the world.
