Donaldson Membranes highlights Tetratex high performance filter media for industrial and technical products at Achema Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 15-19 May 2006
Donaldson Membranes will demonstrate a diverse range of Tetratex ePTFE products for the process industry at Achema 2006.
As worldwide experts in the manufacture of expanded mircoporous PTFE membranes, films and laminates, Donaldson Membranes has a portfolio of products which can be tailored to meet the needs of vital applications in a cross-section of markets.
For Achema 2006 Donaldson Membranes introduces #6561 Hepa PTFE laminate to its technical products range.
As a Hepa-rated synthetic ePTFE laminate, this new product meets the industry standards of H13 filter class (EN1822) and is therefore ideal for ultra-clean applications in contamination-free environments, ensuring the purity of products being handled and processed.
Hepa Media has high efficiency, while its non-stick surface provides easy dustcake release and eliminates concerns regarding contamination.
It is extremely efficient in combating indoor air pollution such as household dusts, pollens, bacteria and many allergens, and is therefore suitable for bagless vacuum cleaners.
The spotlight will also be on Tetratex Release for Industrial Products for markets including: cement, plastics, pharmaceutical, non-metallic, metallurgical and fine chemicals.
Visitors to Donaldson Membranes's stand will discover how Tetratex Release is a low cost, high value surface filtration ePTFE membrane product, delivering added value performance and superior dust cake release compared to PTFE coated filter media and microfibre needlefelt.
Tetratex Release has a 20% lower constant operating pressure drop when compared to PTFE coated filter media, resulting in significant energy savings.
It achieves near zero emissions for particles above 5microns.
With emissions of pollutants into the environment and the workplace subject to ever more stringent legislative control, dust and fumes, toxic or not, must be removed.
In addition, the solid particulate carried in the gas or liquid flow often represents a useful or valuable product, which must be efficiently separated or filtered for final use or further processing.
The best control technology available to achieve these aims through the capture of fine particulate is recognised as fabric filter media utilising ePTFE membranes.
The four efficiency levels of Tetratex ePTFE membranes are: Tetratex Release; Tetratex; Tetratex High Efficiency Membrane; and Tetratex Ultra High Efficiency Membrane.
Tetratex membranes deliver the highest particulate capture rates, unrivalled dust cake release, extended filter bag life and energy savings.
Visitors are invited to a cocktail reception at the Donaldson Membranes stand on Tuesday 16 May at 6pm.
